  • What do I need to pay attention to before publishing the website?

  • Can I change my design template?

    To ensure an easy and smooth migration of your website, our experienced design team has selected a design template for you. After the free migration of your website, you can make changes yourself at any time.

  • Can I make changes to my website?

    Previous websites from the Swisscom homepage tool have been recreated in the new technical environment at localsearch in a similar and modern design layout. This ensures that you can still easily edit the website yourself in the website builder. You can make adjustments to the design layout as well as to the functionality and content yourself at any time. To do this, log in to the website builder (you will receive access data by email), make your changes and select the "publish" button to "save". Don't worry: During the preview phase before the migration date, the website will not actually be published. The publication will be carried out by localsearch on the migration date.

  • Can I publish my website myself today?

    No. We will publish the website on the date communicated. This is important because, in addition to the website, your web hosting and, if applicable, email hosting must be migrated to us at the same time. If you publish the website yourself in the website builder, it will not work.

  • The content on my new website doesn't match that on the old website. What can I do?

    If content is missing or contains errors, you can correct them yourself at any time. If there are serious errors, for example if the website cannot be accessed or certain (sub)pages do not work at all, first try to resolve them in the website builder. If no solution is possible, contact our customer service.

  • The menu navigation is no longer the same or does not work as usual. What can I do?

    Since the website was created on a different technical platform, functionalities may differ from previous functions. You have the option of customizing the menu yourself. However, if the menu or parts of it no longer work after the migration, please contact info.swisscom-offering@localsearch.ch, stating your domain and name.

  • My website and/or the website builder cannot be accessed using the link received.

    Try to open the link in the email we sent you again and check if it is displayed correctly in your browser. If it is not available, contact customer service and report the error message you are seeing.

  • I can't log in to the website builder or I don't know my login details. How can I log in?

    You have received the access data including a link to the website builder from us by email. Please check your email inbox for the sender “localsearch”.

  • Where can I find the details of my contract?

    Information about your contract and payment terms can be found in the customer center. You should have received the access data by email.

Photos & Images

  • Check your images and graphics

    The images from your previous website have been retained as far as possible. An exception is licensed images from the previous website builder, as there is no longer a valid license for this. Since your new website has been created in a new design, it may happen that images no longer fit into the layout in the same way. Please adjust the positioning or size of the images yourself according to your wishes.

  • How was licensed imagery handled?

    Please note that you must have the right to use all images on your website. If licensed images from the previous website builder were identified, they have been replaced for you by the most suitable image from the new website builder. Unfortunately, image recognition does not work in all cases - e.g. with heavily edited images. It is your responsibility to check the images on your website and remove them if necessary. For example, if you have uploaded an image from Google Image Search to your previous website yourself, there is a high probability that you do not have this right. If you are unsure about an image, replace it with one from the website builder's image gallery or with a private image.

Migration

  • Important instructions

    Localsearch has transferred your previous website to the new website builder and is no longer edited by localsearch. This means that you are now responsible for any adjustments up to and beyond publication. All adjustments you make in the website editor will remain until the communicated publication date and will therefore also be part of your new website. If you find errors or problems on your new website, consult the FAQ below and please only contact customer support in extreme emergencies.

  • Notes on page layout

    Your website has been given a new, modern design. As part of the free migration, all the functionality and content of your previous website was retained as best as possible. However, errors and misunderstandings cannot be completely ruled out and the functionality and components of your new website builder may differ from the previous ones. We therefore ask you to check your website again using the checklist below.

  • Check your legal content such as imprint and privacy policy.

    As a service to you, localsearch has transferred required pages, such as legal notice and data protection, for you. Please check this transferred and adapted content and adapt it to your individual requirements, as you as the website owner are responsible for the content of your website.

Online Shop

  • My online shop looks different and/or does not work and no orders can be placed

    If no orders can be completed, please contact info.swisscom-offering@localsearch.ch immediately. The design of your online shop was also created in the new website builder - you have the option of adapting it yourself at any time.

  • What do I need to consider with my online shop?

    If an online shop exists, this has been incorporated into the new design template. Since the localsearch online shop is based on the same technical platform, all data is retained. Please test your online shop.

Domain

  • How do I change my nameserver/DNS entry?

    If your domain is registered with a provider other than Swisscom, you will need to change your DNS entry.


    To ensure that your new website can be accessed via your domain as usual after the migration, we ask you to update the name servers at your registrar. Your services will remain accessible even after the changeover until the migration has been completed.

E-Mail-Hosting

  • Why do I need to set a new password for my email account?

    As part of the technical migration, your existing password could not be retained for data protection reasons. By setting a new password in advance, the interruption of your services is kept to a minimum.

    You can change the passwords for the email addresses you created at any time in the Web & Mail Control Panel. In this article, we will show you how to do that.

    All settings that are not in the website builder can be made here: my.localsearch-hosting.ch Please use your localsearch login details to log in, which you also use for the customer center.

  • How do I update Outlook to receive emails again?

    If you forward your emails to an email program such as Outlook, you will need to adjust the settings after migration. You can find instructions on how to do this here.
